A while back I was offered the chance to read a fun adventure about a young girl named Jorie, who went with her friend Rufus on a grand adventure to a new land called Cabrynthius. I was excited to be offered the chance to read the newest installment, Jorie and the River of Fire (affiliate link) by A.H. Richardson. This adventure is full of excitement as we find out what happens as Jorie and Rufus travel to a new place, full of danger.

Jorie and Rufus return for summer after a year of school and learning language. When they come home for the summer, they learn that they are needed back in Cabrynthius. This third adventure takes them to the land of Shyloxia to rescue the Great Grootmonya and Chook from the tower at the River of Fire. They must battle evil butterflies and Lord Fodomalk to try to save their friends and return them to the land of Cabrynthius. With the Stones in hand, they travel to help bring harmony back to the land.

But what happens when Bessie and Aunt Lettie find the book under Jorie's bed? And what about the romance sparking between Uncle Herc and Aunt Lettie? Jorie and the River of Fire is full of adventure and a little whimsy through and through.

Students will love the adventure as they either read it or have it read aloud to them. This page turner keeps readers on their toes as they travel with Jorie and Rufus.
