I have a small space for my intervention groups. Not only is it small, but I have students going in and out all day long. Finding a way to keep my rules up for my small groups had proven to be a challenge...
Until I found a way to make it work for me and my students.
I had the Notebook pages, which made my life so much easier, but I wanted a way to showcase those rules and memory aids.
Enter the Phonics Posters sets!
I took a little bit of time and started creating full size pages of the phonics rules in both color and black and white as posters for my students. I am able to display them as we work with them in a couple of different ways.
I received a magnetic acrylic frame from Highlights magazine a few years ago. I put one in these as we are working on a particular sound. This stays on the board for the students to refer to as we review that rule. You can purchase these frames and add magnets to them on Amazon.
My favorite way to display the posters we are using is to place them in this document holder and place it on the table. I can keep several in here at a time and move the one I need to the front easily. With three groups in different places, this comes in handy!
And I can write on them to show where the sounds are in the words when I laminate them.
Then when we are finished with that particular feature, I post them on a bulletin board for review. And if I need one for a different group, we can refer to the board at any time for the rules.
Creating and using these posters along with the notebook pages has made it so much easier for my small group lessons.
If you want any of these, you can purchase them bundled and unbundled in my TPT store by clicking on the pictures below.
