Five for Friday ~ May 15, 2015

What a fun week!  I am linking up for Five for Friday with Doodle Bugs Teaching.

1.  This past Saturday I went to a graduation party for a student from my very first class.  He is now a doctor of pharmacology and is sometimes my pharmacist.  How cool is that!  It was great getting together with so many teachers I started my career with 18 years ago!

2.  This was the week of field trips!  Tuesday I went to Poplar Forest for my 12th time.  I really want to work there when I retire!

3.  Tuesday night I went to the Teacher of the Year dinner for the county.  I got this award and an awesome dinner!

4.  Finally got the yearbooks passed out.  The kids are loving them!  Book Talk Thursday was all about it!

5.  Today I went to the Smith Mountain Lake Dam with 4th grade.   We have been calling it the "Dam Field Trip" all week!  Here are my "Dam Pictures".

    Field trips are not my favorite ways to spend a school day, but the two that you've shared might actually be fun! Thank you for sharing your "dam" pics - too funny!

      I love field trips but hate planning them. They allow the students to learn so much outside the classroom, if they are planned for the right reasons. And these two were definitely learning field trips.
