It is September, my favorite month of the year because it is Birthday Month for me! And, now it it time for my link up with Farley from Oh Boy Fourth Grade's monthly Currently.
My husband watched the 80's yesterday, and now the 90's are on. It is so much fun to remember these times!
The weather was nice enough for me to take 2 convertible rides this weekend. Love those and want my own convertible someday! Maybe when the kids get older!!
We are having a problem with daycare/preschool. It opens at 7:30, but I have to be at work at 7:30. Most days my husband can take her, but some days he is out of town or has to be to work early. I can't take her on those days and be on time. When we enrolled her, they said on those days they would be open at 7:15 for me. Now they won't do it, and we are relying on neighbors to take her, which is iffy sometimes. We re considering changing her to the preschool my son went to, which is $20 cheaper a week AND serves breakfast and lunch. It also opens at 6:30 AM. It is not Virginia 5 Star Rated, but has the A Beka curriculum. No problems for either of us. What do you think?
Labor Day means fall is right around the corner! Bring it on!
We need a new mattress, and all of my TPT money will go towards it! We have a budget, so I know how much I need to save each month.
I have always wanted to to Europe, but Paris especially after taking 5 years of French. I would love to go to New England, especially in the fall when the leaves change. And as a Jimmy Buffett fan, I would love, love, love to go to Key West someday!
So, head on over and link up with Farley for her Currently!

Convertible rides sound so relaxing right now! I forgot to add Paris to my list...actually all your places sound good. Enjoy the fast approaching fall weather!

Hi Andrea! I am from Virginia too! My hometown is Virginia Beach. I am currently living in North Carolina. This was a long temporary move for us down here. Sometimes I joke and say we are just visiting for an extended stay.

Hi Andrea. :) I've been there in regards to your daycare dilemma. We had to switch to a preschool that also provided daycare for our 3 year old twins. I, too, need to be at work earlier than the original preschool started. Now, the kids head to the daycare/preschool for breakfast, have fun in preschool and then stay for lunch and a nap until we pick them up at 3:15pm. It'll all work out. I'm sending good daycare vibes your way. :)

Thank you, Colleen! It helps to know that someone else has been there before. It is probably the best decision to move her there now, rather than wait it out and be miserable all the time. Plus, we will be saving money in the long run.

Ugh, the daycare dilemma...it's so tough! I would go with the other program, especially if it saves you money. You know you're smart enough to have her where she needs to be by kindergarten anyway!
ReplyDeleteAnd you definitely need to go to Key West! Steven and I went a few years ago for our "delayed honeymoon" and loved every minute of it!
Don't Let the Teacher Stay Up Late
You could win the McGlothin Award for Teaching Excellence. A requirement is that a portion of the monetary winnings are spent on overseas travel. The rest would more than cover the cost of a new mattress. :-)

I tired a daycare for my 4 year old one time. My husband stays at home but we needed her to be around other kids. She has some serious behavior issues. The daycare was horrible. :( I'm glad it seems like you have 2 good options. (Also, another Virginian in the house!)
