July 2014 Currently

I can't believe it is the first of July!  In a little over a month, I am back to work.  But for now, I will enjoy my summer.  I am linking up with Farley from Oh Boy Fourth Grade for the July Currently.

My daughter is watching her Tinkerbell movie. After going to Disney, fairies have trumped princesses.

I bought a yummy smelling cantaloupe at the grocery store, but it is nasty!  Now I want a new one!

My workout sessions double in the summer.  I work out in the morning and then go walking in the evening.  My shorts get so nasty that I have to change them each time.  I need a couple more pairs to get through the week without washing clothes every other day.

My neighbors and I are still working out plans for the 4th.  I am not sure what we will do, but I am sure it will include fun!

Head on over to Farley's blog to make your own Currently and find out what everyone else is up to!

  1. Hi...coming over from Farley's Currently series! I love cantaloupe, too! It's one of my favorite fruits! Enjoy the rest of your summer...it's going by too fast, isn't it?

  2. Isn't it crazy that in about one month, our summer will be over? I too am trying to enjoy it while it lasts. Good for you for doubling up your workouts. I need to update my workout wardrobe as well. Hopefully your 4th plans will come together and you will have a wonderful weekend. Take care!

  3. I love cantaloupe, but I can never eat it fast enough! It only stays good for about 2 days (at least good to me!).
I need to double my workouts too - if it wasn't in the 80's with high humidity in the evenings, I would be more tempted to walk in the evenings;)

  4. While I love cantaloupe and need to start working on my work out regime as well, I find it absolutely fascinating that your daughter switched from princesses to fairies! I'm with her, Fairies all the way!

  6. Cantaloupe and watermelon are my favorite summer fruits! So refreshing! Tinkerbell is such a sassy fairy! My daughter, who is 22 now, used to love her as well! Have a fabulous 4th!

  8. I also just had to get a bunch of workout shorts. I think Target has the best ones at the best price point but I can sometime find some well-priced shorts at Dick's Sporting Goods. I find myself buying a surplus of workout tops and then it's boring to me to buy shorts so I hadn't. There were some cute Brooks shorts at Dick's that said "run happy" all over them though!

  9. Sorry to hear about your cantaloupe! That is a bummer! I just bought some workout shorts yesterday. TJ Maxx and Marshall's are perfect for workout clothes!

  10. My daughter loves Tinkerbell too!! And I couldn't agree more about the cantaloupe, I hate it when they aren't tasty. I need to learn the tricks to picking a good one at the grocery store :(

    1. This one would have been perfect. I always pick ones that smell sweet and have a soft spot where it was attached to the vine. Usually it is perfect!

  11. Target has their workout clothes on sale right now, but I also love Old Navy. They had some cute stuff in the sale section. I can't believe you'll be back in a month, especially considering we just got out. Soak up every moment!!

  12. I am terrible at picking melons! I've also been doubling up the workouts this summer. My workout buddy and I are working with a personal trainer and hitting the gym. I just wish I could see an improvement in my shape. ;) Happy Fourth, Andrea!
