Book Talk Thursday ~ Shoe-la-la

It is time for another Book Talk Thursday!

I love, love, love reading with my kids!  See my post about why we read together by clicking {here}.  Ginny Beth is so impressionable, so I spend a lot of time reading with her.  She loves shoes, so when I saw this book, Shoe-La-La! I had to get it for her!
We read it all the time and really enjoy it!  The book is about four girls who are getting ready for a party, but they do not have "party shoes" to wear.  They head on to the store "Shoe La La" where they try on every pair of shoes in the store, much to the annoyance of the shop owner.  The illustrations make the book even more enjoyable as the girls throw shoes all over the place and make a huge mess.  Ginny Beth likes to pick out the shoes she will wear and the shoes I will wear from the "piles and piles that fill the aisles".

The book is full of rhyme, and Ginny Beth has already started repeating the rhymes with me.  It is so much fun!  This will be fun for the students as they listen to rhyme.  Every little girl will enjoy the book and its fun rhythmic tone.

I have not had a freebie in a while, so this week I have a fun freebie for you!  These rhyming puzzles will be perfect for helping young students with this important skill.  Click {here} or on the picture below to grab it.

And don't forget to link up below for your chance to win a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble to purchase some of these fun books!  I have been reading many of them and have enjoyed them so much!
Even though it is Monday, you can link up anytime throughout the week!
