Five for Five Linky ~ March 15th

I love Fridays and linking up for the Five for Friday with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching!

Here are my five random things about my week!

1.  The yearbook!  It is finished with three days to go!  I had fun taking pictures and putting it together, but now it is done!  The next hurdle is selling it and keeping track of the money, but that will be after Spring Break!

2.  This week my friend Sarah at Learning is for Superstars and I were at an impasse with one of her groups.  They have done ALL of the short vowels and are not ready for any other word study features, but they can't spell or read basic sight words.  So, next week, we are going to hit the sight words hard!  I purchased the book Sight Word Bingo Ladders from Scholastic during their Dollar Days and am putting them to good use!  I printed them out on pretty paper and put them together like this.
 3.  The babysitter takes Ginny Beth to the library on Thursdays for their story time for 2 year olds while the other girls go to preschool.  Here is the craft they did on Thursday.

I am going to have make a template for this and make them next year!  Too cute!!
4.  Today was our Pinterest Party, and it was my turn to host.  I wanted to have a fun St. Patrick's Day theme, so I found these fun snacks on Pinterest:
They are just made from Dove Dark Chocolates melted in a 250 degree oven for 2 minutes.  Then I put mint M&M's in the shape of a clover.  The stem is just icing left over from Ginny Beth's birthday cake.  Yummy!

5.  And for our Pinterest  Party, we made spring wreaths.
We pulled out the tub full of plastic eggs and grass and used them to make these wreaths!  The best part is that I use a bunch of A.C. Moore and Michaels coupons to get the wreaths for $2.50 each.  I got a bunch of flowers for $5.  The ribbon is from Wal Mart at $2.97 a spool.  I had the eggs and grass already!  The supplies made 5 wreaths with enough to make some more!  This wreath probably cost less than $5 to make.  And it is so springy!

So, what did you do this week?  Head on over and link up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching!
