Rainy Monday

Today was a rainy Monday, and a day that would make me cry.  Due to testing, this was the last official day with all of my groups.  I may get to see some of them over the course of the next few weeks, but I know that I won't see them much.

We spent today working on making our little poetry books of all the poems they read throughout the year.  This will be a great resource for them over the course of the summer, and I hope it will help them keep reading over the summer.  It is the least I can do for them.  I am also planning to send real books home with them too.  I am going to order them tomorrow while a group is testing in my little room.

I want to take the next little bit of time to introduce a friend of mine who just opened her TPT store.  Her name is Sarah, and she is phenomenal!  She makes some of the neatest things for her students and is super dedicated to her job!  I wish I could be half as dedicated as she is.  Follow the link here to head over to her TPT store.   She is a first grade teacher, but she has taught fourth grade as well.  Over the summer, she plans to post a lot of upper grade things that she has made.  She let me borrow them when I went back to fourth grade, and they were wonderful!  I could not have done it without her.   Here is an example of one of her free items.  Click on it to take you to the product.  It is a long e and long i sorting activity that can be used for small group or literacy centers.
Then go browse around her store to check out all of her wonderful resources!  While y our are out and about, check out her blog Learning is for Superstars!  You can get many new ideas and see some of her games in action.

Well, not much else to say, so...
Until next time!
