I'm Cool with Book Talk Thursday

The Zamboni is made fun in this exciting book that showcases the importance of it during hockey games and how it works.

Do you and your kids love hockey? Are you ready for some cold weather? This new installment in Kate McMullen's series of books about mighty machines is perfect for the winter months! I'm Cool showcases the zamboni as it goes across the ice just in time for a hockey game. {Affiliate links provided to fund future book purchases.}

Not being a big hockey game goer, this book taught me a lot about the Zamboni. This machine is an important part of the hockey game, so players will not get hurt on the ice. Throughout the book, the announcer tells the reader why the ice needs a Zamboni and even fusses at it for taking a long time. But a Zamboni shouldn't move too fast to get the job done right. He tells the announcer the importance of his job and how it helps the players on the ice. Of course, the fun onomotapeaia and attitude of the Zamboni make it fun to read and hear.

Kids will love the book I'm Cool, hearing how important this machine is and learning how it does what it does. Without this great machine, the ice is not able to be used through an entire game!
