Book Talk Thursday ~ Aqualicious

It's that time again!

This week I am enjoying my spring break and not really ready to go back to work next Monday, but I found a fun book that my daughter just loves and gets me in the mood for summer vacation!  She loves the Pinkalicious series, and Aqualicious is another great installment in the series.

In the book, Pinkalicious and her family have gone on vacation to the beach.  While looking for shells, Pinkalicious picks up a shell to listen to the ocean.  When she does, a merminnie named Aqua pops out. She needs to back home, but Pinkalicious and her brother Peter do not listen to her.  They take her back into the ocean, but it is not her home.  They even try building her a beautiful sand castle.  Then a bird swoops down and takes Aqua away.  Peter and Pinkalicious must go find her and get her back to her home.  But where is home?

My daughter loved this book about her favorite things ~ the beach, mermaids, and Pinkalicious!  This is going to be a great book for me to ready with my students just before summer vacation.  So, today there is no teaching idea, but just a fun book for a fun time of year!
