Meet the Teacher Blogger Linky

I love a good linky where I get to know more about the people behind the blogs.  I have had fun reading some of these and wanted a chance to join in the fun!  Thank you, Stephanie from Falling Into First, for hosting!  So, here is some more about me!

My name is Andrea, and I am an almost 40 year old reading specialist and blogger in Virginia!  I have taught 3rd and 4th grades and am now the reading specialist at the school I started at 18 years ago!

I have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful children.  My son just started 5th grade, and my 3 year old daughter is starting her second year of preschool.  They are a joy to have around!

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

I love my Nook and treadmill ~ a great way to pass the time and maintain my weight.  My camera and phone go everywhere with me.  I am also a big couponer, though not quite as good as an extreme couponer!

IF YOU WEREN'T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?

An entertainer of some kind.  I always like to get up and have fun.  I can't sing, but I can pretend to dance.

I could probably be an aerobics instructor too. It would be kind of like entertaining, right?!

THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.

Fun-loving, Unique, Procrastinator

FINISH THE SENTENCE, "________,  SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!"

I really love when parents say bad things about their kids in front of them, said no teacher ever!!

IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?

Thomas Jefferson and George Washington ~ This would be entertaining conversation!

AND Jon Bon Jovi and Jimmy Buffett for entertainment.

IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?

What Were You Thinking?

YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?

X-ray vision ~ I hate not knowing what is behind the walls or my Christmas presents!!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?

"If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane."
~ Jimmy Buffett:  "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes"

IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Livin' on a Prayer, though it would sound awful!

ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?

Night owl, though I have to get plenty of sleep for that early morning wake up.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU'VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?

My Year Round Cloze Paragraphs took me just that long to create!  I love these because I have seen them help my third grade students really think about what they were reading and how to make sense of it.  They loved working on them as our warm-ups before our sessions.

SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!

I never attended middle school.  I went to a private school through 8th grade and went straight to high school.  My 7th grade class had less than 10 students!  I was always in a combined class from 1st grade through 7th grade.  When I moved to Richmond, VA in 8th grade, we were one class of 15.

Now, it's your turn!  Find out about your favorite bloggers or find some new blogs to read!  And tell us more about who you are!

  4. Being an aerobics instructor would probably be awesome! Get paid to exercise! Two birds, one stone! Also, the title of your book? That is hilarious!

  5. I need a treadmill that I hook up to my computer. That way I could get in shape while I blog hop. Win-Win!

  6. Ahh, one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs! Are y'all going to the concert? We'll be on vacation but were really hoping to go if it had actually been Labor Day weekend.

I laughed out loud about the entertainer and aerobics instructor. You're so much fun!
