June 2014 Currently

I can't believe it is June, and my summer break has begun!  Usually, we are finishing up testing and filling our days with lots of busy work.  I am so glad that we don't have to do that this year!

I am linking up with Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade for her June Currently!

Do you see a common theme?  I really need to clean this house.  My son LOVES to play sports, and this baseball season has taken over.  I usually get a good cleaning in on the weekends, but we have had practices or games EVERY weekend.  By the time I get in from the sun, I am done!  This weekend was no different.  We had our mid-season tournament, and his undefeated team went all the way to the end to win it!  We still have 4 games to play after this tournament.   He is NOT the star player at all.  As a matter of fact, he is scared of the ball!!  But, he is ...
Gotta get him this shirt!
Here he is showing off today's "trophy".

So, tomorrow I start cleaning!  Then once it is done, I will relax, relax, relax!  I really don't plan to do much more than that.  Oh yeah, and make sure I meet up with my VA Blogger friends!

What are you up to?  Head on over to Farley's blog and link up to let us know!

  1. The house can wait, the kids grow up too quickly! Enjoy your time with your son he looks so happy in his little Yankees uniform. He is representing a great team, my favorite!

    1. He is so happy! He still has school for 8 more days, so I am going to clean the house while he is still in school. My daughter loves to help, so we will get some quality time in together over the next couple of days.

      Have a wonderful summer!

  2. Andrea! I am in the same boat you are with the cleaning situation. Sometimes I get so behind I don't even know where to begin when I have a break from school. Take a few days to relax before you tackle those chores!

    1. It shouldn't take me too long to clean with my three year old to help! I can't relax until I have it all done, so I am going to get it done tomorrow and Tuesday. Then the fun can begin!

      Have a fun summer!

  3. Andrea,

You've got this! Funny how we both talked about needing a clean house in our Currently. I'm finding a cleaning service this week to have come in once a month to do all the big stuff so I can keep up in between.

  4. Most of the teachers I work with have cleaners. I have been thinking about it too. Good luck with the cleaning & I hope you still get to enjoy your summer.

  6. I had to do the cleaning yesterday myself. Kids already messed it up though- so why do I bother? That VA meet-up will be here before we know it!

  7. I feel the same about the cleaning - It's good to get it all done at the start of the holiday so you can enjoy spending time in the lovely tidy house! Good luck on your mission!

  8. I'm ready to be able to KEEP the house clean. I feel like I clean it on Saturday and Sunday, but by Monday evening it's a mess again. So frustrating...I hope you're enjoying your summer so far!
