A Crafty Kind of Week

I am not a crafty person, but this week I was feeling it!  I get so tired of just doing the "same old, same old", and Christmas brings out the best in me!  So, after reading our books, I was going to make some of our Thinking Maps.  Instead, I got out the construction paper for a little bit of fun!  See what we did below!

Poinsettia Bubble Maps, based on A Happy Christmas Flower

Cookie Cutter Flow Maps based on Help for Hannah's Cookies
Sight Word ABC Order Christmas Trees
I used some of the fun Christmas books from edhelper this week.  They were perfect for the students, and we had fun reading them.  The students were so much more engaged making these activities.
Before I go, a couple of giveaways to highlight:

Dana at Fun in First Grade is having a $75 Pick Your Plum Box Giveaway!

Tips for Top Teachers is having a huge giveaway for a Nook HD and lots of other teacher resources!  Wouldn't that be great to have!

And don't forget about Melissa at Don't Let the Teacher Stay Up Late's big 100 follower giveaway, which I am helping out with!

Until next time!
