Book Summary

The book highlights the antics of three knights who hear a loud noise and see Santa at the castle. They feel they need to keep him out, as he may be an intruder. Brave Knight, Polite Knight, and Silent Knight all use their own personalities to keep Santa out of the castle. The knights are not all that smart and take all of the directions quite literally. Finally they realize Santa isn't so bad after all.

Classroom Application

My daughter and I laughed out loud at this book as we realized the silly antics of the knights. It is perfect for teaching multiple meaning words to students, as the knights are much like Amelia Bedelia. The rhyming in the book makes it perfect for using with younger students as they work on those rhyming skills. Students and adults of all ages will enjoy this book and laugh out loud!

So, this Christmas, you need to check out this Night Before Christmas parody, The Knights Before Christmas, so your class and family will laugh and laugh!
