Five for Friday ~ November 21, 2014

It's Friday, and I am ready for a break this coming week!  I am linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

1.  I spent a good chunk of my week finishing up my figurative language with my 4th and 5th graders.  Here is an example of an idiom page they made.  They had to draw the literal and the meaning of the idiom on their paper.

2.  My son was sick on Tuesday, and I got to spend a great deal of time at home working on some of my TPT products and thinking about Christmas cards.  I am not sure what was wrong with him, but I sure did enjoy the day off.

3. Here is a sneak peek at my analyzing author's purpose pack I am working on.  It is almost finished.  I found some typos while using it with my kids, and I will list it once I get it finished.  They loved it!

4.  Today was game day for most of my groups.  Today my second graders had fun playing my Turkey Tidbits game.  If you need something quick for Thanksgiving week, it is a simple reading for details game.  Check it out in my TPT store by clicking {here} or on the image below.

5.  Have you gone through the Gift of Reading blog hop yet?   If not, click below to get started!  These freebies won't last long!

Enjoy your weekend!
