Five for Friday ~ August 8, 2014

Well, it's Friday, and I had to go back to work this week.  Blech!  But I am still linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

1.  Before I left work for the summer, I made this list of things I wanted to do this summer.  Here is how it looked on Thursday morning before I left for work.
Yep, I only crossed off two things, and one of those was done before school let out last year.

2.  I went back to work on Wednesday after spending a day at the lake on the little "beach".  It was nice to get away.

3.  My friend Sarah from Learning is for Superstars and I sat through a lot of meetings this week.  Not really a load of fun.

4. My classroom before I got a hold of it.  Looking better but not quite done.  We are out of red bulletin board paper, so I am heading out to find some red plastic tablecloths or something.

5.  One of my friends gave me this really cool shelf, but it was a little wonky.

I put it between these other two "shelves" where I store stuff.  Look how straight it is now!  No tools needed to fix it, though I tried really hard to fix it.

What have you been up to this week?  When do you go back to school, or have you gone back?  Enjoy the rest of your summer and good luck with this next year!

  1. Love that cute little shelf! Have you ever covered a bulletin board with fabric? That works well. Also, I painted my cork boards and now I never have to cover them again!

    1. So wish we could use fabric! Our fire marshal won't let us because it might burn. Well, so does paper. Oh well! Got some tablecloths at the Dollar Tree, and my son is going to go help me on Monday.

    1. I so wish I could have slept in, but Zack was supposed to have soccer practice. I woke up to rain, so we decided not to go. I do love that picture though!

    1. I would love to use fabric, but it is a no-no in our school. The vinyl tablecloths will do for now.

  4. That bookshelf is precious! And I think my summer to-do list is very similar.
