Five for Friday ~ May 2, 2014

What a week!  I am linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.
http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/2014/05/five-for-friday-linky-party-may-2.html#

We are still testing, but I am still able to meet with some of my groups and get a little bit done as the week goes on, but they are not super exciting.

1.  My week didn't start out so hot.  I wasn't feeling well on Monday, so I made this boo boo.

I wanted to make 7 copies of one page off the computer, but I accidentally made 7 copies of the entire book ~ all 60 some pages!  Luckily I caught the copier at 4 and a half copies of the book, and it was the end of the month!

2.  On Tuesday I heard some rattling in the closet I share with the SPED teachers.  I went in to check, and my next door neighbor showed me this mess!

When he picked up the light, water poured out of it!!  Last time this happened, the entire closet and both rooms flooded.  Again, with luck, they were able to clean out the drain before we had major issues.

3.  Tuesday morning started off with this on my computer.

We had no Internet, no phone, and no HD channels.  I called the cable company, and the little guy in Mexico told me that the technician would be there by 3:30 that day.  By 4:45, no one had shown up.  I called the cable company, and they said my appointment was on Wednesday!  They had called my home phone to confirm, but that didn't work!!  Oops!  I called the technician who had worked on our stuff the last time because part of it wasn't working, and he came out that night and fixed it!  Yay, Comcast!!

4.  And next week is Teacher Appreciation Week is next week!  Some of my blogger friend have a fun blog hop planned for all of you with some great prizes!  Hop on over on Monday and Wednesday for all of the fun!!
5.  And now for my Currently with Oh Boy Fourth Grade...
I am soooo loving this sun!  It rained from Monday through part of Wednesday.  The sun is beautiful!  And, I would love for testing to be over, so I can enjoy the last few days with my students.

I am really wanting to be able to attend all of my little girl's end of the year preschool things, but I can't because of testing!  I am glad my parents live close by now because my parents can step in and be there for her.

I need some major focus!  I can't keep my mind on one thing at all!  I think it is the end of the year!!

And, a big congratulations to my bloggy friend Melissa at Don't Let the Teacher Stay Up Late!  She has over 850 followers and has a great giveaway for everyone to join in on!  She has 5 giveaways for all to enter!  Head on over and good luck!!

What have you been up to this week?  Head on over to Doodle Bugs Teaching and link up.

  2. Boo on the beginning of your week. I hate when I accidentally run the wrong thing (or when I set it to copy the wrong way), and that's awful about the water mess. Oh, and a really big boo that you can't go to GB's preschool fun and instead have to deal with testing. When do y'all finish up all the tests? We're down to 7 teaching days before they begin - eek!!

Thanks for the shout out and for your help with my giveaway!
