Five for Friday ~ January 17, 2014

I love Friday and linking up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching!

This week felt like two weeks because we actually had to work 5 full days after such a longish break!  Here are my five very random things!

1.  I pulled into the parking lot at work this morning and looked up.  This is what I saw...

That is NOT the sun!  It is the moon!  Enough said about the craziness of the week.

2.  Because of our crazy assessment week, I brought out the iPads for "Fun Friday".  I picked apps that were specific to students' need to help each one in an area of literacy.  Here is one of my students building words.
3.  Zack had his first basketball games this week.  So far they have won both of them by a landslide!  We will have keep up the good work.  He has another game tomorrow!
4.  After school, some of the teachers from our school had our Pinterest party.  Today Sarah from Learning is for Superstars planned the food and crafts.  We made coaster from tile, scrapbook paper, and modge podge.  I made four, one for each season for my table at school.

Here are everybody's.

Then we made these cute little snowmen out of bottle caps.
Sarah has directions for making this cutie on her blog if you click {here}!

5.  I have donated my Snowflake Flurries Sight Words Game Bundle to help out Laura from Differentiation Station with her big Collaboration Giveaway!  You have through the weekend to enter, so head over now and enter the Rafflecopters!

  1. The Pinterest party sounds like so much fun! I love your idea for creating the 4 seasons coasters. We still haven't had a full week of school since Dec. 13!!! Yikes...when we do go for a whole week it'll be tough! Enjoy your weekend!

  2. I like how the brown looks with the green on the snowman! Thanks for the shout out! I couldn't respond to your comment on my post - it says you're a no reply blogger!
