2014 Goals and Resolutions Linky

'Tis the season for linkies!  I have found another fun linky with First Grade Nest to share our goals for the next year!

I rarely make resolutions because I am not good at following through, but then again, who is?  I do like to reflect on what I have done throughout the year and think about what I could do differently.  This linky does just that!

Here are my resolutions for 2014.

And then for my goals for the year:

To be bold and help other teachers in my school with their reading instruction, even if they are my closest friends.

For my blog:  to write more posts about how I am using my products.  I used to do this a lot, but I just haven't done it as much.

To play with my children more!  This may seem simple, but sometimes I just don't feel like playing soccer or princesses after a long day at work.

To set aside a date night at least every other month.  My parents have moved closer, so they are able to watch our kids more often.  It sure would be nice to go out without children!

I would love to go to Chicago!  My husband went this past year, and it has always been a dream of mine to go.  I would also like to go Minnesota to visit my friends!  I have been to the delta and would love to go to where it all begins!

I have had brussel sprouts before, but I would love to try them roasted.  A friend of mine told me about making them this way, and I will have to give it a try!

I want to learn to knit or crochet.  I see so many cool things, and I really want to learn to do it!

Spending so much money!  We are really trying to budget money, but I am really bad about buying whatever I want.  I really want to see if I can save money and put some away for my little girl's college!

Play more with my children!

I would love to meet a milestone on TPT, but I know that is way too far fetched for me!  If I could spruce up some of my products, it just might happen!   I have been working with a wonderful group of reading specialists to start a new collaborative blog.  I would love to see it grow into a successful blog!  You can click on our button below to check it out and start following now.

  3. I hear you about playing with your kids. My husband is usually better at this than I am...after a long day of teaching and getting things done around the house and then working on things for school sometimes I do not want to play a game - I have to remind myself that I need to make more time for just playing!! Good luck on all of your goals. Have a great New Years!
