Sunday Randomness

I just finished spending my Fourth of July weekend with my parents and brother at the lake and am packing for another trip.  So, I am linking up with Fabulous in First for her Sunday Smorgasbord linky!  I have been wanting to do this for a few weeks now, so here goes!

I spent the past few days at the lake with my family.  My parents have bought their retirement home there, and they have this wonderful beach area.  In the hour it wasn't raining on Friday, here is what the kids did!
After all of that swimming and from the beach the week before, Zack ended up with swimmer's ear.  To the doctor we went this morning to get those awesome antibiotic ear drops!

Today we packed to head out for our last "vacation"!  Andy is out of town on business to the DC area, so we are tagging along.  We are going to hit up Kings Dominion with my parents and some friends and then head on over to DC.  Then I will tool around with the kids all day while he is in meetings.  Too much fun!  Yes, there will be pictures!  Follow me on Instagram (@readingtowardthestars) to see some fun ones as we go!

There is a HUGE giveaway you need to go check out that I am helping out with!  Head over to Diving Into Learning and enter!  She has FIVE prizes, and one of them is clip art!!!  I have donated winner's choice, so enter away!
I can't believe all of the back to school things I am seeing everywhere!  I go back to school in exactly a month!  Where did my summer go?  Oh yeah, I only got 8 weeks because we are starting so much earlier this coming year!  BUT, we will be out by Memorial Day!  Yay!!!

Well, enough randomness for today!  I am hoping to get into a groove here, but these vacations are taking over my life!

  1. Enjoy your time in DC and at King's Dominion! I need to go back there sometime. I've actually only been once.

  2. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the lake! Enjoy the trip to DC. I can't wait to see the pictures! Maybe I will have to add King's Dominion to my list for the next time I visit my sister out in Fairfax!
