End of School Five for Friday!!

It's here, it's here!  The end of the year!!  What a week it has been!  I am linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

1.  This is me!  Yep, I am the first named storm of 2013!  My mom texted me to congratulate me.  I am impressed that it is even pronounced correctly!  Whoohoo!
2.  I spent several days of my week in almost tears because of the summer school stuff!  I got so much help from some of my colleagues and the aides.  I could not have finished it all without them!  Here are all of the materials for the teachers, sorted and ready to go!  No copying necessary, unless I forgot something!

3.  One of the sixth graders gave me this wonderful mug with a sweet note!  It describes me perfectly!  Her older brother, who I had when he was in third grade, actually said it described me perfectly too.  Such a great family!

4.  School's out for summer!  Need I say more?!

5.  Oh my!  Summer is here, and I will be entering lots of giveaways again!  But, I am helping out with some giveaways first!

I am helping Sara at Miss V's Busy Bees with her One Year Blogiversary Giveaway!

And I have donated two different winner's choice {one primary and one intermediate} to Heather and Teaching Through Turbulence's One Year Blogiversary Giveaway!
So, head on over and enter away!

  1. We share the same name! And yes, I was so happy that they were pronouncing it how my parents decided to call me. :) I told my friends it was named after me because I had some steam to blow off since school is finally over. I am changing classrooms and had so much to get packed up that I looked like a mad woman. I am so glad I found your blog, and I am your newest follower!

    1. I had been working on summer school curriculum and was overwhelmed. I told everyone I had gone to Florida and was coming back to get them all. It made me feel a little better. At least we weren't too damaging!

Good luck changing classrooms. I know what a hassle that is!

  6. I know just how you feel. My name is Sandy as in Hurricane Sandy. My family and friends had lots of choice comments. Their favorite had to do with record breaking wind. It went on and on and on!!! Let's hope this season of storms does nothing to harm lives like last year. It was horrible. Love your mug!

  7. I had no idea that's how you pronounced your name! My name's on the list again, but we'll have to see if it does anything. Last time, it got really big and just spun in the ocean.
