Ninja Bunnies! Prefixes and Suffixes

Bunnies are all the rage right now, maybe because of the upcoming Easter holiday!  But, boys just don't want much to do with them, unless they are chocolate!  So, I was so excited to grab the Ninja Bunnies for free from Julie Phillips {aka Ninja Woman Clip Art}.

We had been working on syllables in third grade, and we used prefixes and suffixes to make one syllable words into multi-syllabic words.  We used these fun Ninja Bunnies cards to make the new words.   I put magnets on the backs of the cards to have the students draw and see if they could make words with their cards.  Then they wrote sentences, gave definitions, and drew pictures of their new words.  I didn't use the recording sheet because I had some other paper to have the students use.

Click on the picture below to grab it from my Teachers Notebook shop or here to grab it from my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.  It is half price through Thursday, March 28th, so grab it quickly!

  2. Those Ninja bunnies are cute! They will definitely get the boys' interest up. Prefixes and suffixes are hard for some of my students.
