Bad News, Good News Kind of Day {Giveaway News}

It has been one of those days!  I just could not wait to get home, but that didn't seem to help!

I spent all afternoon in our monthly Reading Specialist meeting learning all about how our brain works as we learn to read.  I knew quite a bit of it, but it was nice to be reminded.  Of course, it all led up to a spiel about one of the programs we could choose for textbook adoption.  Funny, because no one was ever told what the other one was, and I am still in the dark about it.  So, today I broke the news to the teachers, and they did not like the idea.  OK, I am just the messenger, but I spent quite a bit of time in meetings with grade level teachers to tell them what I had learned.  Shouldn't they have been invited too?  Hmmmm....

OK ~ now to the super stinky part of my day!   I needed to print some things for tomorrow, but our color printer is out of color ink, so I was going to use my trusty printer in my office ~ HP Photosmart D110.  Well, I had to change the black  and color ink ~ easy enough, right?!  Not really!  The black ink does NOT work!  Seems to be an issue with the printer!  I am hoping to find an answer, but it seems to be hopeless!  I just spent all of my Staples Rewards on new ink for the printer.  Ugh!

I got home and let Ginny Beth ride around on her new tricycle, but she is still learning.  Well, we bought it used, and it seems that one of the pedals has been super glued back on, so it won't spin!  I hope that there is an easy fix for that!

So, now for some good news!

I got started on the yearbook today, and it seems to be super easy!  Now to get the rest of the pictures I need to make it perfect!

  1. You should do thematic books! Like give a list of 3-5 books for each theme. Example: list of titles for Presidents' Day or Valentine's Day!
