Ok, so I love going to the Pumpkin Patch, but I have not been this year. We have just been so busy, and I can't wait to to take Zack and Ginny Beth. I love taking pictures, going through the corn maze, and sliding down the slide into the pumpkin patch. Plus, who can resist the a fun hay ride? Hopefully once our basement is painted and finished, I can enjoy the pumpkin patch. Until then, I will dream!
This week one of my third grade groups is reading a book about going to the pumpkin patch, and one of the skills we are focusing on is synonyms. I got the book off of Reading A-Z, one of my favorite sites for great books! I am so glad our district purchased this for all of us. Anyway, the lesson plan had a cheesy no-good worksheet. (Have I ever told you how much I despise worksheets?) Anyway, I decided it would be so much more fun to play a synonyms game, so I created Pumpkin Patch Synonyms. This packet includes two activities, one matching and one set of puzzles. It also includes blank templates to make your own. The matching game and puzzles include different sets of synonyms! You can click here or on the picture below to get it from my TPT store. It is half price until Saturday.
I have noticed a lot of giveaways going on right now! And there are some BIG ones.
Here are a few that have caught my eye!
April Walker at the Idea Backpack is having a 400 Follower Giveaway.
April at Chalk Talk is having a Teacher Tote Giveaway. Who couldn't use a new handmade teacher tote?
Speaking of giveaways, I am close to 300 followers and am considering a giveaway. If you are willing to help with one, please let me know by email or comment. Also, if you ever need help with a giveaway, please feel free to ask me! I love to help out in any way!!
Until next time, and before I make it to the Pumpkin Patch!
