Labor Day Weekend...

is over!  Even though I have been in school for a couple of weeks, this officially marks the end.  I always know that after "The Labor Day Weekend Show" at Jiffy Lube Live with Jimmy Buffett, it is truly back to reality!  We had a blast!  We always buy lawn seats and get in pretty early to get a good spot.  This year was by far the BEST!  I took this picture with my little Nikon S8200.  Love it!
Andy and I got our annual picture together!  I think this one might make the Christmas card this year!
Well, enough fun for now!  Back to reality!!  Tomorrow I head back to work for a short week.  At least it is only four days until Friday, which is my BIRTHDAY!  I am thinking of doing some kind of giveaway and sale on TPT.  Keep watching for more!

Today I am linking up with two others:  Farley at Oh Boy 4th Grade for her September Currently and Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for my first Monday Made It.

Can you tell that the ragweed is killing me????  Oh my!  You can see why I love my camera (see above picture of Jimmy)!!  My Nook and my mp3 player make being on the treadmill a breeze!  If I didn't have them, I probably would abandon my workouts most mornings.

Now for my Monday Made It!  I love to use personal pointers with my students, so last year I made some with stickers on the ends of popsicle sticks.   This didn't work so well, since the students all took the stickers off.  Soooo, this year, I made them with colored popsicle sticks and sparkly pom-poms.  Check them out!

Now the students can't wait to use them because they are so fun easy!  I have several different color combinations that appeal to everyone!  It's amazing what a little color, sparkle, and hot glue can do to make reading so much fun!

So head on over and link up with Farley and Tara!  I am going to relax for the last hour of my long weekend!  Finally finished The Fifty Shades trilogy, so I can go back to some Princess Bride, which is just a LOT tamer!!

Keep watching for some fun during my birthday week!!!
Until next time!

  1. Happy Birthday! You are lucky, like me, our birthdays get to be celebrated on short weeks of school! (Mine is in January over the MLK holiday)
Sorry about the ragweed, that is icky! I love your Jimmy picture...he's on my bucket list, I better hurry that up before his bucket is gone!
Love your sparkly pointers, I use a finger tip that looks like a real finger with red nail polish on it,...the boys LoVe it (NOT) maybe I'll switch to your idea this year!

    1. If we could just get HGTV and local channels, we would be one happy family! Oh, I guess my kids would want some cartoons too. Thanks for the birthday wish!
