Gone Social!

Look to the right, and what do you see?  Yes, I have gone social on Facebook!  I made it all by myself!  Now I just have to make some others for TPT and Pinterest.  It was so simple!

I just went into Publisher and made a shape, colored it like I wanted, and added the letter.  Then I grouped them together and copied the image.  I then opened GIMP, which I LOVE!!  I got rid of the white around it and saved it as a PNG.  Here is the finished product.
I then saved it into my Photobucket account and copied the code for the direct image url.  I inserted my information into this code in a document, changing all of the () to <>.  This is super important, or it will not work!

(a href="WEB ADDRESS THAT YOU WANT THE BUTTON TO TAKE YOU" target="_blank" title="BUTTON NAME HERE")(img alt="BUTTON NAME HERE" src="LINK TO THE ACTUAL PICTURE" /)(/a)
Then I went to my layout, added HTML, copied and pasted my code into the box.  And voila!  I have a new icon!  I will be working on others throughout the week!

Head on over to my new Facebook page and "Like" it.  It is a work in progress, but I plan to post on there as time goes on. I will probably be asking for help on how to do different things as I try to post different things, like new products and freebies.

On a side note, look what I got for my birthday!
My parents came in this weekend to celebrate, and they had gotten this wonderful laminator for me!  I LOVE it!!  It came in handy this week when ours ran out of film again!  I have become a laminating maniac, to say the least!

Now to get a binding machine!  Oh, Sara at Miss V's Busy Bees is giving one away, as well as another prize of a $30 gift card of your my choice.  Head on over to enter!

I will leave you this evening with a little bit of fall, which is right around the corner.  It is my favorite fall snack!
Candy corn and peanuts, a taste of a PayDay bar!
Until next time!

  2. Thank you so much! You've had me feeling inspired all week so today I made some little buttons in Publisher like you suggested, opened a Photobucket account and uploaded them, then I came back to your page and when I tried to click on the link to the code I got an error message :'( Do you know what the problem might be?
