Product Review and a Linky

I have had the wonderful opportunity to preview and review Teacher Tam (Tammy)'s newest Life Cycles product.  It is fabulous!  Since the year is winding down, I won't be using it this year, but I will definitely use it!

"How would a Reading Specialist use this?" you may ask.  Well, let me tell you how I would use this in my school.  I work with students from Kindergarten to 6th grade.  In grades K-4, life cycles are studied at some point, and the text books focus on frog and butterflies.  How much more can you learn about frogs and butterflies?  Well, this life cycle set goes waaaay beyond frogs and butterflies.  It includes chickens and deer, as well as plant life cycles.  The story cards are written at an easy to read level, which is perfect for me to use.  Then the students match the beautiful pictures to words, one of my absolute favorite activities! So, there is plenty of reading involved!

It also includes posters with facts and worksheets to complete after learning the different life cycles.   I love, love, love this and can't wait for all of my kiddos to start learning about life cycles next year because this is what I will use!  Click on the picture below or here to head over to Tammy's TPT store and pick up this set for half price until Thursday, May 24.  You will not be disappointed!

Now for a little linky!  Jacque at Mommy and Me Creations is having the All About Hoo? Tuesday Linky.  This week's questions revolve around summer vacation, which is only 10 school days away for me!

Here are my answers.
1.  My plans for the summer include hanging out with my two kids, mostly around the house and such.  I haven't decided on joining the pool yet.  It sure would be nice! We are heading to Tulsa, OK for my cousin's wedding then to Branson, MO for a little vacation.  No beach for me.  :(
2.   My favorite summer activities include hanging out with the kids, reading, and spending time with my friends.  Even if we just hang around the house and watch the kids play.
3.  I love being outdoors.  I grew up in Louisiana, so Virginia summers are quite comfortable!
4.  I enjoy hiking, especially with the mountains at my doorstep.  It is just a lot of work to get ready for it.

So, what are your plans for the summer?  Link up to let us all know!

  1. Andrea,

It sounds like you are going to have a fun Summer! I love spending time with family and friends. I think it is the best way to take a break from the ordinary. Thanks for linking up at the party.
